The editors of 9/11 Truth News are pleased to present 911truthnews.com. 9/11 Truth News is intended to be an accessible and factually oriented first reference for those curious about 9/11 truth. Our movement must serve its audience and this site was created for that purpose.

The key to effectively serving this purpose is our strategy. That starts with the site being solely related to 9/11 truth and edited by four longtime movement activists. With a good deal of thought about who we need to reach and the obstacles that stand in the way of reaching them, the editors of 911truthnews.com will be publishing only that which we believe to be the best this movement has to offer.

What does ‘the best’ look like? Uplifting images of people committed to educating the public. Videos of thoughtful actions and real connections with our audience. Stories of our mutual challenges and cooperative successes. Important discoveries. Revealing hit pieces. Thoughtful commentary. The best looks like positive movement.

In order for this site to reflect the best this movement has to offer, we will need help from the movement to keep us informed about what we might include. We need people to help us find relevant news. We need groups to send us their best images and videos of their actions and events. We need people to help us fill out the resources section by submitting links to related history, our strongest evidence, and information relevant movement strategy.

Commenting is provided on our site primarily to allow readers to post thoughtful questions and commentary that enhances the educational value of our posts. We will be strictly moderating comments to maintain that educational value. If you’d like to comment, please stay on topic and don’t get too heavily into details, speculation or debate.

The Hard Evidence Tour Down Under hit a high note on Saturday afternoon at the Te Papa Museum in Wellington, when over 650 turned up to hear Richard Gage, the spokesperson for Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, (AE911Truth), talk about what really happened to World Trade Centre (WTC) 1, 2, and 7 on 9/11. It was the largest crowd the architect and founder of AE911Truth has ever spoken to since he began spreading the truth – what he calls the Architecture of Destruction, about the evidence of 9/11, and revealing the buildings were brought down by controlled demolition, not by jet fuel and fires.

Gage spoke during the entire two-and-a-half hour long event. Says Jeremy Morrison, who videoed the highlights, which will be posted on YouTube: “It was a great presentation, even for someone like me who knows a lot of this stuff already. I still got a lot out of it, mainly about the science behind the controlled demolition. It’s come a long way and he covered a lot of ground.” Morrison, who kept a watchful eye on the proceedings on the stage, as well as in the audience, said he was aware of only one person who loudly voiced his disapproval, and the heckler, which Morrison caught on camera, looked emotionally shaken by what he had learnt about 9/11. “Apart from him, the audience loved Richard. There was a really good atmosphere,” offers Morrison.

Says Helen Waddington, who was one the team who worked behind the scenes to contribute to the event’s success: “It was surreal. It was great when so many turned up. I had a smile on my face when the hundreds of people came!”

As fewer than 300 had been expected to attend, the Wellingtonian 9/11 truth activists involved, had booked the 300-seat Soundings Theatre at Te Papa. It wasn’t until the day of the presentation, did they realise a far larger venue was needed.

By 1pm, an hour before the presentation’s scheduled start, 328 had registered and a multitude more expected to attend, largely owing to the fact that Gage had received good media coverage. As well as a fair and balanced article in the Wellington paper, The Capital Times, he was interviewed by veteran radio interviewer Kim Hill, on the day of the presentation. Although Hill made repeated attempts during their 36 minutes-long exchange, to throw a wet blanket over the flames of truth he was throwing, her efforts were ultimately thwarted by his steely resolve to convey the facts. As one listener put it, it was very obvious as to who was invested in getting to the truth of the matter and who was invested in obfuscation.

Owing to the interest generated by the Gage-Hill interview, many phoned the Te Papa Museum to make enquiries, alerting the staff to the fact that the 300-seater theatre would not accommodate the numbers expected to swamp the venue. Offers Waddington: “Thankfully, Te Papa were excellent at managing the overflow of people. They were able to set up live audio and visual feeds in the large Oceania conference room, which held approximately 320.” Waddington, who did head counts, said there were about 648 people there for the entire presentation and that two of the event’s organisers estimated that around 100 people had to be turned away. “I estimated we may actually have had 700 who were definitely interested and close to 1000 people there at the end of the day, as visitors to Te Papa Museum were milling in and out of the Oceania room and listening to Richard speak all afternoon,” she said.

At the start of the talk, Gage asked for a show of hands of those in the Soundings Theatre who believed the building collapses on 9/11 were due to controlled demolition. About two-thirds raised their hands. Then, near the conclusion of his talk, he asked, who still believed the official story – and only two raised their hands. The audience, evidently grateful for having someone so adept at ripping the mask of Osama bin laden off 9/11, thanked Gage for his efforts, with a sustained round of applause.

Following a grueling 14+ hour plane trip to Australia as the start of the 2009 Australasia/Japan Tour, Richard Gage, AIA has crossed the International Date Line. This means that, based on San Francisco Bay Area time (America/Los_Angeles Time Zone and all of the U.S.), it will often be tomorrow in Australia, New Zealand and Japan. The current time difference is +19 hours.

Mr. Gage left for Australia on Sunday, November 8, so that he would arrive in time to be with local activists on their 11th of the Month rally. See photos in the gallery and the Tour Blog at the left column of the tour page. Mr. Gage’s first presentation will be on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. as part of The Hard Evidence Conference.

The website for the new television show also suggests that the National Geographic Channel’s apology will be offered directly by the Turkish professor Mete Sözen, a long-time supporter of government myths about terrorism.  Sözen is not just a professor at Purdue but was a leader of the FEMA investigation into what happened at the Pentagon on 9/11. He was also the director of the Department of Defense’s Blast Mitigation for Structures program, and is therefore another example of the many explosives experts that came up with only non-explosive stories for what happened on 9/11

National Geographic Does 9/11:
Another Icon Debased in Service of the Big Lie

The 2009 iteration of this spectacle is notable for the contrast between the designated brand and the obligatory message. That brand, best known for its high-brow photojournalistic National Geographic Magazine, has existed since 1889, complete with a non-profit Society dedicated to education in geography, archaeology, history, world cultures, and natural science. One can’t help but wonder how National Geographic’s many benefactors would feel if they understood how the brand was being used to prop up the “War on Terror” with its Popular-Mechanics-style attack piece to be aired on August 31, 2009.

In the fall of 2005, Brigham Young University professor Steven Jones presented this simple principle in a BYU campus auditorium packed with hundreds of people to illustrate how several of the World Trade Center towers fell too quickly on Sept. 11, 2001, to have only been hit by planes. To reach free-fall speed, Jones explained, the building’s floor supports would have needed to be blown apart. In other words, the carnage of 9/11 would have required another catalyst of destruction beyond hijacked planes—an explosive to cause the buildings to implode.

Calling for a Media Focused Protest on 9/11/09!

What I propose is an all out, all day attempt to get the “Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe” paper reported on in the press by demonstrating in front of corporate media facilities worldwide.  With simply the “Thermitic Materials Paper” in one hand and the “9/11 Blueprint for Truth” DVD in the other, we have a completely rational and non-conspiratorial basis to demand that the press investigate the possibility of controlled demolition of the World Trade Center buildings 1, 2 and 7 on 9/11.

Host an Event
Please consider hosting an event featuring members of STJ911 to present a scientific argument of truth of the attacks on 9/11/01. Hosting an event may seem like a daunting task but can be tremendously rewarding both for a local 9/11 group and its community, as well as the movement itself. Several events in 2006 and 2007 were extremely successful and focused on science, were held on university campuses and garnered important news coverage (see: http://stj911.org/events.html). Those who have hosted events involving Scholars members would be glad to give pointers and recommendations for your event. Campuses are one of the best locations for credible educational events.

Participate in the Information War Online
While the mainstream media typically refuses to cover the unanswered questions of 9/11/01, or simply present ad hominem-filled diatribes, dozens of discussion forums all over the Internet are raging in an information war to keep the facts away from the public or distort the ones already available. If you enjoy debate and discussion and are online often, we urge you to get involved on forums and post links and strong arguments to make the case for our work. Many debates are time-wasting, but some are worthwhile, so choose how to spend your time best. Always include links to your favorite websites when you post, using phrases that people are likely to search for in the visible text of your link. This helps the search engine ranking of the page you are linking to.

Participate in the Information War Offline
Letters to the editor, calls to radio shows, emails to representatives, and roadside actions are some of the most important work we can engage in because we take our message directly to the public and our public officials. A single banner on a multi-lane highway for just minutes can be read by thousands of individuals who never get online at all. Participate in an action, letter or call-in and report back on a discussion forum, ours or any of the others.

We are very proud to make the announcement this month of a ground breaking new paper just published in The Open Chemical Physics Journal and authored by Niels H. Harrit, Jeffrey Farrer, Steven E. Jones, Kevin R. Ryan, Frank M. Legge, Daniel Farnsworth, Gregg Roberts, James R. Gourley and Bradley R. Larsen.  The paper is the long-awaited formal publication of the findings of red/grey chips in the WTC dust, which Steven Jones first presented in 2007 in Boston, and details the extensive analyses conducted to conclude with the finding of active thermitic material in the dust.

Additionally, Jim Hoffman has written two essays to help non-scientists understand the findings in the paper, and one essay describing a hypothetical scenario.

Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe

Authors: Niels H. Harrit, Jeffrey Farrer, Steven E. Jones, Kevin R. Ryan, Frank M. Legge, Daniel Farnsworth, Gregg Roberts, James R. Gourley, Bradley R. Larsen

The Open Chemical Physics Journal, 2009, 2, 7-31

Abstract: We have discovered distinctive red/gray chips in all four of the separately collected samples of dust produced by the destruction of the World Trade Center. The chips in these samples show marked similarities. One sample was collected by a Manhattan resident about ten minutes after the collapse of the second WTC Tower, two the next day, and a fourth about a week later. The properties of these chips were analyzed using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy (XEDS), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The red material contains grains approximately 100 nm across which are largely iron oxide, while aluminum is contained in tiny plate-like structures. Separation of components using methyl ethyl ketone demonstrated that elemental aluminum is present. The iron oxide and aluminum are intimately mixed in the red material. When ignited in a DSC device the chips exhibit large but narrow exotherms occurring at approximately 430 ?C, far below the normal ignition temperature for conventional thermite. Numerous iron-rich spheres are clearly observed in the residue following the ignition of these peculiar red/gray chips. The red portion of these chips is found to be an unreacted thermitic material and highly energetic.

In this interview Kevin Ryan discusses the science and psychology of 9/11. He also mentions an upcoming paper that provides strong evidence of incendiary residues found in the World Trade Center dust. Ryan, who is one of the co-authors of the paper, says that it is “…much more conclusive than anything we’ve published before, and is supported by considerable physical testing.”

KR: In my experience, there has not been much of a discussion between those who support the official story and those who do not. My colleagues and I have tried to get the official investigators to meet with us for discussion or debate, but with little success. My local group did meet with Lee Hamilton last year, since he was the congressman from our area and still keeps an office here in Bloomington. He gave us many excuses for why his 9/11 Commission report was not adequate, and has stated in his book that he felt he was set up to fail (see the revealing interview here http://www.cbc.ca/sunday/911hamilton.html). Mr. Hamilton also told us that he was not opposed to a new investigation, as long as it was not intended to simply find fault with his investigation. We have since invited him to several events but he has not agreed to join us in public.

a) 9/11 Widow Dies on Buffalo Plane Crash

Beverly Eckert, a well respected co-founder of “Voices of September 11,” an advocacy group for survivors and 9/11 families, died tragically on February 13th, 2009, in a plane crash in Buffalo New York.

Beverly Eckert became a member of the Family Steering Committee, the group of relatives who in 2002 and 2003 spearheaded the public fight for a 9/11 commission, against resistance from the White House.

One of the questions asked by the 9/11 Family Steering Committee was of particular relevance to Scholars for 9/11 Truth & Justice, which focuses on the use of the scientific method to expose the truth of the events of 9/11/01.  Here was a question they proposed to be asked of the 9/11 Commission, a question that was never asked –

13. On 9/11, no aircraft hit WTC 7. Why did the building fall at 5:20 PM that evening? Larry Silverstein is heard on a PBS tape saying “I remember getting a call from the, E.R., fire department commander, telling me that they were not sure they were gonna be able to contain the fire, and I said, “We’ve had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it.” And they made that decision to pull and we watched the [WTC 7] building collapse,” said Larry Silverstein, WTC Leaseholder. – PBS (9/10/02) Does “pull” mean demolished? What do you know about this?

Beverly Eckert participated in a number of lawsuits around Sept 11th, with the express purpose of gaining discovery and accountability about the events of the day. As the deadline for filing claims with the Victims’ Compensation Fund passed in Dec. 2003, she published the following statement in USA Today:

b) Beijing Hotel Tower Fire (2009)

What can be learned about the behavior of tall buildings on fire from the CCTV Mandarin Oriental Hotel fire?

While several examples exist of buildings structurally similar to the WTC Towers having withstood similar or larger fires for longer, the CCTV Headquarters building was highly unique in both design and structure, and did involved some amount of concrete reinforcement of the structural steel.

Importantly, however, no part of the CCTV hotel building collapsed from the fire, which was reported to have lasted from between 3-6 hours.  And unlike the WTC Towers, in which the vast majority of each Tower was untouched by any fire damage at all, the CCTV Hotel Tower was entirely engulfed in flames from top to bottom.

Colorado 9-11 Visibility on KBDI Channel 12 in Denver. . . Again!

On March 5th 2009 the local PBS station, KBDI, in Denver Colorado broadcast the groundbreaking expose, America: Freedom To Fascism to raise funds for the station. They invited volunteers from Colorado 911 Visibility to run the phone bank. If you’ve written a 9/11-related essay or article or letter to the editor which you would like to contribute to the website, please pass it on to us and we will consider it for publication.

Host an Event
Please consider hosting an event featuring members of STJ911 to present a scientific argument of truth of the attacks on 9/11/01. Hosting an event may seem like a daunting task but can be tremendously rewarding both for a local 9/11 group and its community, as well as the movement itself. Several events in 2006 and 2007 were extremely successful and focused on science, were held on university campuses and garnered important news coverage (see: http://stj911.org/events.html). Those who have hosted events involving Scholars members would be glad to give pointers and recommendations for your event. Campuses are one of the best locations for credible educational events.

Participate in the Information War Online
While the mainstream media typically refuses to cover the unanswered questions of 9/11/01, or simply present ad hominem-filled diatribes, dozens of discussion forums all over the Internet are raging in an information war to keep the facts away from the public or distort the ones already available. If you enjoy debate and discussion and are online often, we urge you to get involved on forums and post links and strong arguments to make the case for our work. Many debates are time-wasting, but some are worthwhile, so choose how to spend your time best. Always include links to your favorite websites when you post, using phrases that people are likely to search for in the visible text of your link. This helps the search engine ranking of the page you are linking to.

Participate in the Information War Offline
Letters to the editor, calls to radio shows, emails to representatives, and roadside actions are some of the most important work we can engage in because we take our message directly to the public and our public officials. A single banner on a multi-lane highway for just minutes can be read by thousands of individuals who never get online at all. Participate in an action, letter or call-in and report back on a discussion forum, ours or any of the others.

Environmental anomalies at the World Trade Center: evidence for energetic materials

The presence of energetic materials, specifically energetic nanocomposites, at GZ, has the potential to explain much of the unusual environmental data seen at the WTC. Thermite, discussed briefly above, is such a pyrotechnic mixture that cannot be easily extinguished and is a common component of energetic nanocomposites. Unusually high detections of sulfur, silicon, aluminum, copper, nickel, iron, barium, and vanadium might all be explained by physical release of materials from such energetic nanocomposites. Additionally, the detection of 1,3-DPP at the WTC supports this hypothesis. Finally, the spikes in VOCs, detected by EPA on specific dates, are more readily explained as a result of short-lived, violent fires caused by energetic materials.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has had considerable difficulty determining a politically correct sequence of events for the unprecedented destruction of three World Trade Center (WTC) buildings on 9/11 (Douglas 2006, Ryan 2006, Gourley 2007). But despite a number of variations in NIST’s story, it never considered explosives or pyrotechnic materials in any of its hypotheses. This omission is at odds with several other striking facts; first, the requirement of the national standard for fire investigation (NFPA 921), which calls for testing related to thermite and other pyrotechnics, and second, the extensive experience NIST investigators have with explosive and thermite materials.

Congratulations!! We now have over 400 Architects & Engineers demanding a real investigation of the 3 WTC high-rise towers – including 20 structural engineers and 3 high-rise architects! Don’t withhold the truth from your colleagues, friends and family just because you’re nervous about sharing it! Ask the A&E’s for their help in reviewing the controversial forensic evidence. And ask them to join the over 400 A&E’s in calling for a new investigation! a) Cynthia McKinney, Champion of Exposing the 9/11 Cover-up, Wins Green Party 2008 Presidential Nomination

At the recent Green Party nominating convention in Chicago, Cynthia McKinney was officially accepted as the Green Party’s presidential candidate. This is good news for exposing the cover-up. McKinney mentioned 9/11 numerous times in her acceptance speech, along with naming 9/11 researcher John Judge specifically. The speech was covered by C-SPAN and is now viewable on their website:

b) STJ Members Featured in BBC Documentary

Although the recent BBC program was primarily a thinly veiled promotion for the release of the NIST Report on Building 7, due out in August, the event also offered a rare opportunity for the important points made by Richard Gage, Steven Jones, and others, to be put directly to the mainstream public.

The BBC’s compelling promotional trailer ran for weeks before the program aired and implied a relatively neutral stance, but as details about the program emerged, it became clear that the purpose, once again, would be to put the conspiracy theories to rest, and to claim that Building 7 was the last remaining question about the attacks. WASHINGTON — After seven long years, the FBI and the Justice Department say they are closing the books on the anthrax investigation. But the investigation into the investigation is only beginning, and it will focus on what Congress members described Thursday as apparent missteps by authorities that dramatically prolonged the probe, unfairly maligned an innocent government scientist, and raised questions about whether federal agents had conclusively ruled out other suspects besides microbiologist Bruce E. Ivins. Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa) and Rep. Rush D. Holt (D-N.J.), frequent critics of the FBI, demanded a far more detailed release of documents by the bureau and the Justice Department to support the government’s case, as well as congressional hearings into the investigation. If you’ve written a 9/11-related essay or article or letter to the editor which you would like to contribute to the website, please pass it on to us and we will consider it for publication.

Host an Event
Please consider hosting an event featuring members of STJ911 to present a scientific argument of truth of the attacks on 9/11/01. Hosting an event may seem like a daunting task but can be tremendously rewarding both for a local 9/11 group and its community, as well as the movement itself. Several events in 2006 and 2007 were extremely successful and focused on science, were held on university campuses and garnered important news coverage (see: http://stj911.org/events.html). Those who have hosted events involving Scholars members would be glad to give pointers and recommendations for your event. Campuses are one of the best locations for credible educational events.

Participate in the Information War Online
While the mainstream media typically refuses to cover the unanswered questions of 9/11/01, or simply present ad hominem-filled diatribes, dozens of discussion forums all over the Internet are raging in an information war to keep the facts away from the public or distort the ones already available. If you enjoy debate and discussion and are online often, we urge you to get involved on forums and post links and strong arguments to make the case for our work. Many debates are time-wasting, but some are worthwhile, so choose how to spend your time best. Always include links to your favorite websites when you post, using phrases that people are likely to search for in the visible text of your link. This helps the search engine ranking of the page you are linking to.

Participate in the Information War Offline
Letters to the editor, calls to radio shows, emails to representatives, and roadside actions are some of the most important work we can engage in because we take our message directly to the public and our public officials. A single banner on a multi-lane highway for just minutes can be read by thousands of individuals who never get online at all. Participate in an action, letter or call-in and report back on a discussion forum, ours or any of the others.
